ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Role

Wind River is seeking an experienced Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Senior Engineer to plan, execute and report software quality assurance activities compliant to ISO-9001/ASPICE as priority in 2024 and additionally DO-178C in 2025.  This position requires proven skills in SQA as well as excellent oral and written communication skills. 

ABOUT YOU

Responsibilities

  • Plan, roll out, execute and feedback on ISO-9001/TS-2/ASPICE-3.1 compliant SQA plans (including audits, inspections, reviews and compliance records) for all software development projects.
  • Lead Software Quality Assurance (SQA) activities (audit, review, inspect, monitor, problem reports and deviations, change control, release, software conformity reviews) for VxWorks and HVP projects according to WR Generic SQAP (DO-178C), ASPICE 3.1/4.0, ISO-9001, IATF-16949, ISO-26262.
  • Define and implement SQA activities for software suppliers.
  • Provide Engineering Leadership with compliance status summaries and detailed reports.
  • Conduct classification and analysis to identify priorities, root cause and symptoms of deviations.

 

Qualifications

  • BSc degree in an analytical or technical discipline.
  • 5+ years demonstrated success in software product safety or quality process compliance.
  • Certified Auditor or Compliance Certificate (e.g: ISO 9001 Certified Auditor, ASPICE assessor).

Skills and Experience

Demonstrated experience in the following areas:

  • Performing an SQA role in compliance with at least one of the standards ISO-26262, ASPICE, DO-178C.
  • Successfully leading compliance activities for several programs.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication in cross-functional teams.
  • Strong facilitation, project management and training skills
  • Developing and training on software quality or safety process models
  • Communicating compliance deliverables
  • Data analysis, aggregation, presentation and reporting
  • Strong communications skills written and verbal
  • Ability to review and document compliance issues in software developed in C, C++ and XML.
